The energy blade is literally a blade made of pure energy, the blade has no solid form, and can pass through solid objects like butter. The handle however is solid, and can be made from multiple materials, many favor a solid metal material to maintain endurance.
The casing also contains magnetic field generators that determine the shape of the blade, the strength of said generators determine the length of said blade when activated.
The final component contained within the solid housing is the energy storage unit, capable of dispersing multiple bursts of energy before being depleted, when depleted the blade is deactivated.
Variations[]
Tenebra engineered a pair of energy blades that clamp onto his hooves, they are also compatible with his combat suit, they can be removed pretty easily, but can't be removed accidentally; Lupus also has an energy blade attached to his tail, which is activated during Engagement Mode.
